3 Tbsp onion soup mix
1/2 cup Italian Bread Crumbs (can use crushed crackers if you prefer)
1/4 cup milk
Flour (enough to dip your patties into)
1 bag baby carrots
2 large potatoes, in 1 inch cubes
2 cans cream of mushroom soup or cream of chicken
1/2 bottle (4 oz) Johnny's French Dip Au Jus concentrate
In a large bowl, mix together beef, onion soup mix, bread crumbs, egg, and milk. Form beef mixture into patties. Dredge the patties in flour to coat. Brown the patties on both sides.
Layer the browned patties, carrots, and potatoes into the slow cooker. In a medium bowl, mix soup and Au Jus. Pour the mixture over the patties. Cook on LOW for 4 to 6 hours, or until beef is done.
This recipe also lends well to dutch oven cooking.
